The Lodge was opened on the Entered Apprentice Degree by WM Alan Frohberg at 7:30 P.M. for the regular Stated Meeting.

THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA  was presented at the Altar with all present reciting the pledge of allegiance.

THE FOLLOWING PAST MASTERS were present: John Jones, Al Schmidt, Jerry DeMarco, Bill Sigler, Al Johnson, Tom Duffy and Keith Head.

READING OF MINUTES: Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as posted on motion of WB John Jones and WB Keith Head.

OLD BUSINESS: The Investment Committee will meet and advise our finances by the lst meeting in May.

We received decals and book markers from Grand Lodge for the Bikes for Books program. We are receiving generous donations from the Brothers for this Montana Grand Lodge Program, which also assists financially.

NEW BUSINESS: B Chris Daniels is getting hitched with Marriage ceremonies planned at the Lodge, Saturday, May 10th. Brother Chris was just raised as a Master Mason March 1st, 2008 with his Father Bill and Grandfather Wayne in attendance. Brother Shane advises the Brothers will be sure Chris leaves bachelor status  behind in proper style prior to the wedding.

WB Keith Head gave his Boy Scout Troop a tour of the facilities, giving them some information on Masonry.

READING OF BILLS: It was moved by WB John Jones, seconded by B Greg Baker and passed by vote of the members present to pay the bills as follows:

Warrant No. 4521 – Secretary, postcards and postage - $48.20.

Warrant No. 4522 – Masonic Temple Assn., kitchen rent Feb. & March - $40.00.

READING OF PETITIONS: Petitions were received from Mr. Zachary T. Elliot and Mr. Mr. Aaron David Pursell for Degrees/Initiation into Euclid Lodge. The requests will be referred to the Investigation Committee, with results read at the next meeting.

SICKNESS AND DISTRESS: We continue to keep B Jim Peretti’s wife Mary in our prayers with her illness.

The Lodge was opened on the Entered Apprentice Degree by WM Alan Frohberg at 6:30 P.M.

The meeting proceeded with conferral of the Degree for Mr. Gregory Alvarez, Mr. Michael Harry Stobie and Mr. Brian Dean Lundquist. With B Shane Kohler in the East, the candidates were escorted into the Lodge singly by the Senior Deacon and Stewards. B Shane Kohler then proceeded to give the Obligation to the candidates at the Altar singly. WB Roger Cathel then presented the Lambskin Aprons to the candidates at the Altar singly. B Paul Robinson then presented the Working Tools to the candidates in the East as a Group. WM Alan Frohberg gave the Charge to the candidates in the East.

WB Roger Cathel and B Larry Foose recited Questions and Answers for the candidates.

B Lary Foose made the Slide Lecture presentation, completing the Degree work.

OLD BUSINESS: B Shane Kohler advises a bike ride by the Masonic cycle club is coming up later this month.

Bikes for Books has been put on the Euclid Lodge website, with five Public Elementary Schools scheduled to

Participate this year. Supplies including bike decals and cards for students are ordered from Grand Lodge.

B John Deyo’s grandmother Mrs. Beverly Beenau has completed sewing 5 sets of candidate garments for Degree work. Delta Lodge, as pro-rating Lodge this year, will reimburse Beverly for expenses.

SW John Jones discussed progress is on schedule to qualify for the Master Builders Award again this year.

NEW BUSINESS: WB Albin Johnson advises his late wife Lillian bequeathed $10,000 in her will to the Masonic Temple Association. Lillian was very active in Masonic Temple activities, being an OES Past Grand Matron for the State of Montana. Al also read an item about the origins of Norwegian lutefisk, which sounded delicious ?

READING OF BILLS: It was moved by WB John Jones, seconded by B Shane Kohler and passed by vote of the members present to pay the bills as follows:

Warrant No. 4518 – Grand Lodge of Montana, candidate fees (3) - $45.00.

Warrant No. 4519 – John Deyo, Family Connections booth at Fairgrounds - $31.00.

Warrant No. 4520 – Masonic Temple Assn., rent 2nd half of year - $3200.00.

SICKNESS AND DISTRESS: B Jim Peretti’s wife Mary is ill and we keep her in our prayers.

OBITUARIES: Brother George Abraham Forzley passed away Sunday, March 16th, 2008. George was born June 16, 1909 in St. Paul, Minnesota and was a 50-year member of The Scottish Rite and Shrine in Montana.

OLD BUSINESS: MWGM David Nielsen attended the Great Falls District Meeting held Saturday, March 1st on the first floor of the Masonic Temple. W. Jr. Grand Deacon Tom Duffy coordinated the M. M. Degree Lodge of Instruction for the Grand Lodge. The three candidates raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason were

B Mark Kenneth Carlson, Choteau Lodge # 44. Ricky Dean Teeters, Benton Lodge # 25 and Christopher Jon Daniels, Euclid Lodge # 58. MWGM David Nielsen congratulated Euclid Lodge for their 3rd Degree work.

Brother Mike Peak of Cascade Lodge #34 provided lunch and WB Roger Cathel provided an excellent printed colored program schedule for the Brothers to follow along on the Degree work by Euclid Lodge brothers.

NEW BUSINESS: Lodge Instructor WB Keith Head gave a talk on Symbolism in the Masonic Lodge.

 

READING OF BILLS: It was moved by WB John Jones, seconded by B Shane Kohler and passed by vote of the members present to pay the bills as follows:

Warrant No. 4516 – B Mike walker, Cascade Lodge #34. made new Lodge room standards - $100.00.

Warrant No. 4517 – Grand Lodge of Mt., reinstatement fee for B Larry B Clark - $22.00.

REPORTS ON PETITIONS: The reports on the petitions for Mr. Brian Dean Lundquist and Mr. Gregory Alvarez were unanimously approved for membership in Euclid Lodge by the Investigating Committees.

BALLOTING: Mr. Brian Dean Lundquist and Mr. Gregory Alvarez were approved to receive the Degrees in Masonry from Euclid Lodge. They will be notified by the Secretary.

SICKNESS AND DISTRESS: WB Tom Duffy’s Dad, WB Jim Duffy is ill and we keep him in our prayers.

OBITUARIES: WB Earl O’Neils wife passed away with services planned at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

WB Earl in very active at the Scottish Rite Temple and Child Language Center.

WB Keith Olson’s wife passed away at Cascade. WB Keith is a past master of Meridian Lodge # 105 at Cascade.

OLD BUSINESS: WB Bill Hunter has met with the new Superintendent of Great Falls Public Schools regarding the Public Schools Night at the Masonic Temple. The Superintendent has agreed to attend the dinner and be our speaker on April 29, 2008. Further details of participants will follow as plans are finalized.

The US and Montana Flags were donated to the CMR Museum at a flag raising ceremony at the Museum. The event was well attended on a beautiful sunny day, with TV coverage by the local media. WB John Jones gave an inspiring talk about Old Glory in the flag ceremony, wearing his George Washington period uniform. Thanks to Brother Dennis Deforest for his help with the Museum and OES member Donna Moore for a guided tour of Charlie Russell’s paintings.

NEW BUSINESS: A motion was approved to reimburse B Mike Walker (Doc) $100 for new pedestals he made for the Lodge room standards. They are beautifully painted with Masonic Insignias. Doc is a member of Cascade Lodge No. 34 and helps drink morning coffee at the Lodge, besides being very talented in his workshop.

Warrant No. 4515 – Grand Lodge of Mt. – Reinstatement fee for (name omitted) and mnemonics book- $31.31.

The Lodge was opened on the Fellowcraft Degree by WM Alan Frohberg at 7:30 P.M. for the regular Stated Meeting. The meeting proceeded with conferral of the Fellowcraft Degree for Brothers

Daryl Clayton Barker and Ray C. Luna. With SW John Jones in the East,

The candidates were escorted into the Lodge by the Senior Deacon and Stewards.

WB John Jones gave the Obligation to the candidates at the Altar.

B Paul Robinson then presented the Working Tools to the candidates in the East.

The second section of the Degree proceeded with WB Tom Duffy in the East.

WB Roger Cathel gave the Winding Stairs Lecture on the Middle Chamber of King Solomons Temple.

WB Tom Duffy then gave the Letter “G” Lecture and WB Roger Cathel gave the Charge in the East.

In conclusion Questions and Answers were give by WB Roger Cathel and B Chris Daniels.

WM Alan Frohberg then proceeded with the business meeting for the evening.

OLD BUSINESS: B Rob Davis is attending evening classes to become a teacher when he retires from the USAF, in a year or two. Brothers Paul Robinson or Anthony Peel will act as Chaplain during Lodge meetings.

B Dennis Deforest advises the US and Montana Flags we are donating to the CMR Museum have been received.

We will schedule a flag raising ceremony with the Museum following the next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS: B Dan Schulz is relinquishing his Treasurer duties due to a possible move and we note he has a young daughter who requires a lot of his time. We would like to thank Dan for his efforts as Treasurer, with Lodge finances in good condition. Dues were increased this year to meet increased Temple expenses.

WM Alan Frohberg has appointed B Gene Harrison as our new Treasurer. Gene was elected to Dual Membership in 2006 with Cypress Lodge # 1423 in Texas. B Gene is employed at D.A. Davidson & Co. Investments in Great Falls and resides here with his wife (name omitted)  and family.

READING OF BILLS: It was moved by WB John Jones, seconded by WB Tom Lehotsky and passed by vote of the members present to pay the bills as follows:

Warrant No. 4512 – Masonic Temple Assn., kitchen rent January, Invoice #1000 - $20.00.

Warrant No. 4513 – The Grand Lodge of Montana, Supplies Invoices # 6682 & 6685 - $101.20.

Warrant No. 4514 – Secretary for supplies, postage, copies - $29.09.

REPORTS ON PETITIONS: (name omitted)  was unanimously recommended for reinstatement as a member of Euclid Lodge by the investigating committee.

BALLOTING: Being bright in the East, (name omitted)  was reinstated as a member of Euclid Lodge.

Larry Dean Foose. The candidate was escorted into the Lodge by the Senior Deacon and Stewards.

WM Alan Frohberg gave the Obligation to the candidate at the Altar.

WB Roger Cathel then presented the Working Tools to the candidate in the East.

The second section of the Degree proceeded with WB Al Schmidt in the East as King Solomon.

The Brothers then performed the Trestle Board Scene with the candidate.

With WM Alan Frohberg in the East, the Charge was given by B Dewey Goering.

Questions and Answers were given by WB Roger Cathel and B Dewey Goering.

WB Roger Cathel then concluded the Degree with a Slide Lecture presentation for the candidate.

B Larry Dean Foose was presented with his Lambskin Apron and signed the Euclid Lodge Membership Ledger, dating from 1902, as member # 1105.

READING OF MINUTES: Minutes of the previous two meetings (Dec. 18th 2007 and Jan. 1, 2008) were approved as posted on motion of WB John Jones and B Myles Nardinger.

READING OF COMMUNICATIONS: A thank you letter was received from The Salvation Army for participating in their “Red Kettle” fund raising campaign at Christmas time. Because of the efforts of many, $61,233 was raised and made a difference in the lives of 647 families this holiday season

OLD BUSINESS: The Rainbow Girls cooked breakfast on Saturday morning at the Lodge. There are six Rainbow Girls at present and appreciate our support. They plan to do the cooking once a month. (Hooray).

Joint Feast of Saint’s John Table Lodge will be held Saturday, January 26th at 12:00 noon, with B Mike Peak providing the lunch. There will be a small fee of $5.00 for the lunch, with all the local Lodges participating.

B Dennis Deforest advises the US and Montana Flags we are donating to the CMR Museum have been received and we will schedule a ceremony with the Museum for raising the flags.

B John Deyo has a second set of Name Badges available for interested Brothers, plus caps, cups etc.

NEW BUSINESS: B Tom Lehotsky will be coordinating the Bikes for Books program for the Public Elementary School students this year. This program supported by the Grand Lodge has been very successful and awards bikes to students who participate in reading library books at their schools. Last year Euclid Lodge was pleased to give a dozen bikes to students from several Elementary Schools at their awards ceremonies.

READING OF BILLS: It was moved by WB John Jones, seconded by WB Tom Lehotsky and passed by vote of the members present to pay the bills as follows:

Warrant No. 4509 – Great Falls Rescue Mission, Christmas donation - $200.00.

Warrant No. 4510 – The Grand Lodge of Montana, 2007 per capita payment - $2,538.50 (128 members).

Warrant No. 4511 – Masonic Temple Assn., rent payment first half 2008 - $3,200 ($50 per member per year).

READING OF PETITIONS: B William K. V. McPhail has petitioned for reinstatement in Euclid Lodge. He is a  Prepaid Life Member in Euclid Lodge and has been absent for about five years. OLD BUSINESS: WB Roger Cathel hosted the annual Christmas Day Feast at the Temple again in 2007.

NEW BUSINESS: WB Anthony Kelson presented a Masonic educational program this evening titled “The Secret Behind the Lost Word of Masonry.”

WB Albin Johnson has completed his duties as Masonic Temple Trustee after many years of keeping things running in the building and premises. WB Al had his 90th birthday June 1st 2007 and was awarded a 50 year membership Certificate from the Grand Lodge of Montana in 1999. Al has overseen many improvements to the facilities in his years as Trustee and also as Secretary of Euclid Lodge from 1967 to 1999.

B John Deyo was elected as a new Trustee of the Masonic Temple Assn.

NEW BUSINESS: WB George W. Pamenter and his wife Elsie will be celebrating his 90th birthday, Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Rainbow Retirement Center. George was WM of Euclid Lodge in 1955 and became a 50yr. Life Member Nov. 1st, 1999. George was a long time Secretary of York Rite and active Lodge member and we wish him and his wife Elsie the best at the Rainbow.

OBITUARIES: Brother Walter O. Forsman passed away December 11, 2007 in Great Falls, Montana. He was Born May 31, 1913 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada and was raised to the sublime Degree of Master Mason, June 1, 1948. He received his 50-year Award from the Grand Lodge of Montana AF&AM June 1, 1998. Walter was adept at repairing things and enjoyed working on engines as a mechanic. His last business was running a bookstore at Apgar, W. Glacier, Montana, when he retired in 1979. He was an advocate of the Cascade Co. Historical Society and spent many hours studying local history. He married Ethyl Jean Miller on March 9, 1941. In his later years he cared for Ethyl Jean who was disabled and passed away in 1999. No services were held at his request, with burial in Highland Cemetery in Great Falls.

OLD BUSINESS: WB Tom Lehotsky reports there was a good turnout for the Highway Cleanup along the Truck By-pass on Saturday, October 27th, with a crew of about 25 it only took 45 minutes to do 2 miles of highway.

NEW BUSINESS: Amendments to Euclid Lodge By-Laws proposed October 2nd were approved as follows:

By-Laws Amendments:

2007-01 Article V. Fees and Dues Section 1. The fees for three degrees conferred by this lodge shall be $200.00 dollars. Fees in all cases must be paid in advance.

2007-02 Article V. Fees and Dues

Section 3. Every member shall pay annual dues of $35.00 dollars.

2007-03 Article V. Fees and Dues

Section 6. Prepaid Life Memberships (PLM) are available for members of Euclid Lodge. The sum for PLM shall be twelve and one-half times the annual dues, plus one year’s dues, or a minimum of $675.00 dollars.

2007-4 Article XIV. Dues, Section 41040. Assements.

Every member shall pay a “Temple Rent Assessment” to Euclid Lodge as commensurate with the Temple Rent Assessment as submitted by the Great Falls Masonic Temple Association. Current temple rent assessment to be $50.00. Assessments must be paid by all members except for the following: A. Members who have received the Montana 50 year certificate and pin.

Non payment of said assessment will be enforced the same as non-payment of dues.

REPORTS ON PETITIONS: The Investigating Committee has a favorable recommendation for membership in Euclid Lodge for Mr. Michael Harry Stobie.

Treasurer B Dan Schulz gave a report on the current status of the finances. A motion was made to invest in a new Certificate of Deposit (CD) at US Bank for $20,000 at 4.9% interest, 7 month term. Also we have $9,000 CD that has matured in our account pending investment.

NEW BUSINESS: We will be ringing bells for the Salvation Army at Shopco, Sat., Dec. 8th.

B Tim Ryan will be moving to Denver with the USAF where his wife is also stationed in the Air Force.

B Sean Redden has completed his hitch in the USAF and will be moving with his family. We wish both of our Brothers well and hope they will visit. With our military connections we have brothers around the globe.

Great Falls Masonic Temple Assn. sent their 1st issue of the Fall 2007 Newsletter. Elected Trustees are listed with their phone numbers. Representatives from organizations using the facility are invited to attend monthly meetings in the Library on the 1st floor of the Temple on the 1st Thursday of every month at 6:30 P.M. The next meetings will be November 1, and December 6, 2007.

OLD BUSINESS: B Dennis Deforest has contacted organizations regarding purchase of flags to donate to the C.M. Russell Museum. It was approved to authorize B Dennis to purchase the flags and submit invoices.

NEW BUSINESS: The Finance Committee presented a proposal for consideration at the November 6th regular Stated Meeting. A letter will be sent out to the membership along with the proposed changes to the By-laws.

The Masonic Temple Assn. is increasing the rent to Masonic bodies using the facilities beginning in 2008. We are encouraging the members to attend the November 6th Communication and ballot on these important changes to the By-laws.

READING OF PETITIONS: Petitions were received from Mr. Raymond C. Luna and Mr. James Michael Porter for Degrees/Initiation into Euclid Lodge. The requests will be referred to the Investigation Committee, with results at the next meeting.

REPORTS ON PETITIONS: The Investigating Committee has a favorable recommendation for membership in Euclid Lodge for Mr. Larry Dean Foose.

BALLOTING: The ballot was spread for voting on membership for Mr. Larry Dean Foose. Being bright in the East he was elected to receive the Degrees in Masonry from Euclid Lodge. He will be notified by the Secretary.

SICKNESS AND DISTRESS: WB Jerry DeMarco is having surgery tomorrow at Benefis Hospital and we hope Brother Jerry has a short stay and all goes well. B Cody Meeks is ill this evening and unable to attend Lodge.

Also WB Chester Rogers fell in his home and has a few bumps and sore ribs. After a short stay at the Hospital WB Chester should be ready to attend coffee and keep the Brothers on their toes.

Also we were pleased to have B Clayton Wallers visiting Lodge tonight while on vacation in Great Falls. Clayton and his wife Shirley moved to Phoenix, AZ about 5 years ago after his retirement from the USAF at Malmstrom.

Clayton says it has been a little warm in Phoenix with temperatures over 100 degrees for about a month.

READING OF MINUTES: Minutes of the last two meetings were approved as posted on motion of WB John Jones, seconded by B Shane Kohler and passed by vote of the members present.

READING OF COMMUNICATIONS: We received very nice thank you cards from Mrs. Floyd Nobbs (Jeanne) for Memorial services for WB Floyd and from WB Albin Johnson for flowers sent to his wife Lillian’s funeral.

It was also mentioned that Jeanne will be donating a “Yamaha Organ” to the Masonic Lodge.

OLD BUSINESS: B Dennis Deforest was absent tonight, and donation of flags to the CM Russell Museum will be taken up at the next meeting.

WB Bill Hunter discussed the “Bikes for Books” reading program this past year and we hope to continue this very successful program at the local public Elementary Schools again next year.

WB Tom Lehotsky was presented with The Masters and Builders Award from the Montana Grand Lodge for his efforts as WM last year to complete the items required for Euclid Lodge to again qualify for this award.

NEW BUSINESS: B John Deyo is working on obtaining additional name badges for Lodge officers and also has Masonic hats than can be ordered.

WB Anthony Kelson invited the Brothers to have dinner with B Clayton Wallers at Applebees restaurant tomorrow evening at 6:00 P.M.

WM Alan Frohberg encouraged the Brothers to attend WB Walter Breuning’s 111th birthday party on Friday, September 21st at the Rainbow Retirement Center, 2-3:30 P.M. Walter is an inspiration to everyone and is undoubtedly the oldest living Mason in the USA, if not the world. He can also still give a great talk from the podium from memory and only uses a walker to get around with. WB Walter sent us a congratulations card when we had the recent 100th Anniversary of Euclid Lodge and advised he was Secretary of his Lodge in 1934. Instructor WB Keith Head presented an educational program on “Secrecy in Masonry”.

READING OF BILLS: There were no bills to be paid this evening. WB Keith Head advised the finance committee will meet to consider Lodge finances and a possible increase in dues next year.

The Lodge was opened on the Fellowcraft Degree by WM Alan Frohberg at 7:00 P.M. for a Special Meeting to confer the Fellowcraft Degree.

With SW John Jones in the East, Candidates Mr. Mark Tilery Hines and Mr. James Wray Peretti were escorted into the Lodge by the Senior Deacon and Stewards.

SW John Jones then proceeded to give the Obligation to both Candidates at the Altar.

B Paul Robinson presented the Working Tools to the candidates in the East.

WB Roger Cathel recited the Charge to the candidates in the East.

The Degree then proceeded with WB Tom duffy in the East.

WB Roger Cathel then gave the Winding Stairs Lecture on the Middle Chamber of King Solomons Temple to the Candidates.

WB Tom Duffy then gave the Letter “G” Lecture to the Candidates in the East.

B Robert Chacon and B Dennis Deforest recited Lecture Questions and Answers for the candidates.

OLD BUSINESS: B Shane Kohler reminded the Brothers of the Masonic Bike Club ride to the Bannack Historic Lodge meeting on Saturday at Bannack State Park, departing the Masonic Temple parking lot for Bannack (near Dillon) at 6:00 A.M. Other Brothers will be driving there also if someone needs a ride.

WM Alan Frohberg has scheduled a Special Meeting for Monday, September 10, 7:00 PM – Fellowcraft Degree.

NEW BUSINESS: WM Alan Frohberg reminded the Brothers to help WB Walter Breunig celebrate his 111th birthday at the Rainbow Retirement Center on Friday, September 21st from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. We believe WB Walter to be the oldest Brother Mason in the United States and an inspiration to all of the Masonic Fraternity. He is still spry and was Secretary for the Great Falls Shriner’s until age 99, and receives cigars from around the world for his birthday.

A motion was made and approved to send a donation to the Shriner’s travel fund as a memorial to Mrs. Lillian Johnson who passed away recently at age 93, with services at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Great Falls. She was married to WB Albin “Al” Johnson three years ago at the same church. Lillian was a Past Grand Matron for OES in Montana.

B Dennis Deforest requested we consider replacing some flags that were vandalized recently at the CM Russell Museum and he will advise further after he checks into availability or costs of flags.

REPORTS ON PETITIONS: We have received confirmation from Tyrian Lodge No. 439, Manteca, CA on the petition for affiliation from B Waymon “Wayne” Darrell Daniels, a retired police officer from California. Brother Wayne was raised in Tyrian Lodge on June 22, 1967 and was a member in Good Standing when he demitted June 5, 2003. He was elected as a member of Euclid Lodge by a show of hands from the Brothers in attendance. We were very pleased to have three generations of the family in attendance tonight, including Wayne’s son Bill, who affiliated in 2005, and Grandson Chris, who was initiated tonight.

SICKNESS AND DISTRESS: WB Tom Lehotsky is having back surgery at Benefis Hospital. We hope this will help Tom with a speedy recovery from his back problems.

OBITUARIES: John D. “Johnny” Deyo and Brother Travis K. Davidsen were killed in an auto accident Tuesday, August 28, 2007 while traveling north of Sun River. Johnny’s parents John and Diana Deyo are active in Euclid Masonic Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star. Johnny was a student at CM Russell High School and was to graduate in January. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 5th, 2007 at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with a reception following at the Masonic Temple.

Brother Travis K. Davidsen was a member of a Great Falls Masonic Lodge with separate services held.

OLD BUSINESS: WM Alan frohberg and WJr.Grd. Deacon Tom Duffy conducted Installation Ceremonies for B Shane Kohler, JW and WB Roger Cathel, Tyler. Brothers Shane and Roger were unable to be present for the joint Installation of Officers ceremonies for 2007-2008, conducted by MWGM David Nielsen, August 11th, 2007.

WM Alan Frohberg and B Rob Davis attended the Prince Hall Lodge meeting at their Lodge in Great Falls on Thursday, August 6th and assisted with E.A. Degree work. B Rob Davis was raised in Prince Hall Lodge before dimiting and joining the Grand Lodge of Japan. He joined Euclid Lodge in 2007.

NEW BUSINESS: WB Tom Duffy discussed the Bikes for Books program sponsored by the Montana Grand Lodge. The program was very successful last year and we were reimbursed for some of the expenses. A motion was made and passed to continue the program in Euclid Lodge this year with a discretionary fund set up for the WM to use the Grand Lodge proceeds for various Lodge activities. Also we received a thank you letter from Ms. Nola Huey, GF Youth Services Librarian for our efforts in their summer reading program.

B Dewey Goering invited the Brothers to his USAF retirement ceremonies, Friday, August 31st at 2:00 PM in the first floor Lodge Room. We are also invited to a retirement party at Brother Dewey’s residence, on Saturday, Sept. 1st at 4:00 P.M. We note Brother Dewey is now a rancher on the Bootlegger Trail.

B Shane Kohler reported on the Masonic Bike Clubs ride last Saturday for the Lincoln Lodge 157 Annual Oyster and Fish Feed. 7 of the Brothers were able to ride, with some great pictures atop Rogers Pass & good food.

Also B Shane and WB Roger attended the annual Sturgis bike events and met many new Masonic friends there.
